Newby Questions! PowerPack? New settings not in tutorial?

Hello, I have some newby questions:

    1. Do I need the PowerPack? If so where do I get it and what do I do with it?

    2. I notice some newer settings in DbPoweramp.
For instance: There is no prevent auto-run on all cd drives check box // Anything else?

    3. How many instances of DBPoweramp is it safe to run at the same time?
I have an AMD FX 4170 Quadcore at 4.5 ghz with 8GB of RAM running on Windows 7 64 bit

    4. Where do I find BatchRipper?

    5. Do I need to look at "choose art" or "review meta data" on every CD I rip if I see a picture in the small preview window that's acceptable?? I ask as DbPoweramp seems to have this handled almost like it's a waste of time to even look!

    6. Lastly, to get the best sounding FLAC do I really need to rip in Windows "Safe Mode" per some audiofile forums out there.. Anyone heard of this?

    Thx!! :smile2:

Reference has replaced the Power Pack.

2: Normal for Windows 7 as it is not needed any more

3: if ripping CDs, no more than 6, otherwise no limits for the converter

    Batch Ripper: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/batch-ripper.htm

    5. Depends, I look at the review page as a quick glance, but then I am not ripping many CDs.

    6. No, anyone who says this, point them to this forum so I can educate them...

Spoon, thanks for the quick replies. Did I purchase reference and can I use the batch ripper or is it all just a part of DbPoweramp R14?

      Thx!!

Not exactly sure what "Reference" is but if I use my noodle I bet it could be DBPoweramp R14.. R being the "reference"? If that's the case then YES! I bought it yesterday. I got a download link BUT not sure if I need to register it or not. somehow.

          1. Is this correct?

          2. AND.. Is Batch Ripper Something that would be helpful to me or only if I'm using robotics for burning/ripping??

          Thx, Barry

            1. Install the registered version
            2. Batch ripper does not sound like it is needed for you.
