*******I just tested my 3rd cd drive.. Interesting that this is the only cd drive I have that actually allowed the C2 test to run 1/8th of the way through the C2 detection test (the other two finished right away). It did say C2 error pointers have been detected and should be used. Should I allow this setting to be checked for this cd drive OR NOT ALLOW it because it did not get through at least 1/4the of the test??

Create another test CD and this time make the marker so it only starts half way in, then run the test again.

Ok, the test sat at Reading until C2 error detected... for about 7 minutes and then a pop up msg stated something like: C2 was detected and will be used.

Spoon, are you sure? I ask as I should clarify that I never saw the progress bar move at all. The pop up that reads: "Reading until C2 error detected..." just sat with an empty progress bar until the next pop up came (7 minutes later) that states: "C2 is used/found.. and will be selected" (or whatever).

What do you think??

Ok I am not sure now, the progress bar should move to the position on the disc where the marker is.

I was just going to post & ask if using 2 drives is possible, when I saw this thread. I just made two Windows shortcuts, one for each drive. This is a huge time-saver for Classical music, where the metadata is usually wrong, incomplete, or just not to one's own preferences. While a disc is ripping, I can be fixing metadata on the next one, which saves as much time as the simultaneous ripping itself.

ANOTHER reason to love DBPA! THANK YOU SPOON!
