Re: compilations in 1 folder & still list each tracks band/performer

Dear garym and All, I'm a real beginner at this and thank you all for solving one of my dilemmas in ripping CD compilations. There remains one further issue which is as follows:
The ripped compilation album comprising of 2 CDs is correctly stored in my PC in a folder entitled Compilation.
This folder correctly contains the two ripped CDs. I then rename this folder with the name of the album.
Using Windows Explorer I then transfer this renamed folder to the PC drive designated as for my NAS which is a QNAP TS212 for playing the album on the QTS application of the TS212.
However, when accessing "Music Station" function of the QTS to play the CD the QTS Music Station displays each individual track of the album as a separate album (albeit with the same album name) instead of showing the album as a single entity with the tracks being contained within the album itself. This is a real pain especially as some of my compilation CDs have as many as 50 tracks which are then displayed by the QTS Music Station as 50 same-named albums.
Notwithstanding this, the actual album folder I transferred originally is however shown (e.g.with having both CDs of the album) within "Multimedia" in the "File Station" feature QNAP TS212.
Is this an issue of the way in which dbpowereamp rips compilation CDs or is it an aspect of the way in which QNAP's QTS functions or, even the way in which I am saving the dbpoweramp rip to my QNAP QTS ?
All and any advice on this would be welcomed !!

This is all an issue of your player, not dbpa. One thing to try is make sure comp albums have albumartist filled in with something like Various Artists .

Garym could you modify this without subfolder disc 1, disc 2? If each song is labeled 1-01,2-01,3-01? Thanks in advance

Apart from [disc]. instead of [disc]-, isn't this exactly what you use already, as you posted here a couple of days ago: multi cds one folder r16

I suspect the problem is as Dat Ei answered to you, in post no. 4 of that thread. For reasons unknown, you seem to have ignored that answer.
