    CD Ripper cached metadata

    I posted about an issue back in September where cached metadata is re-read and ripped, the sort tags are not written correctly.

    e.g. comp1; comp2 is written as:

    ComposerSort=comp1

    When tags are obtained from dbPoweramp Cache (CDRipperCache.bin), then ripped to flac, ComposerSort tag is written as:

    ComposerSort=comp1; comp2

    i.e. not multi-value.

    (edit: This behaviour also occurs for Artist Sort and Album Artist Sort)

    Is there any reason why this was not fixed in the recent R14.4 release?

    I tested and the sort tags were saved and retrieved correctly (even multiples).

      Only with recent versions of CDRipper does this work OK.

      I have the problem with metadata data that was saved to the cache by older versions of CDRipper. It is this older data that when read back into CDRipper then the tags are not written correctly.

        If it was previously saved incorrectly then nothing can be done.

          I have found a work around.

          When an inserted CD is read from the cache, if I select the first tag in the ID-Meta section and hold the down the down arrow to scroll thru all the tags, this somehow updates the tags and the data is then written correctly.

          Something to do with the recent unicode changes? Anyway, it would be nice if CDRipper automated something similar when reading back from the cache.
