    Normalize tracks while ripping

Is there a way or setting that will allow tracks to be normalized while ripping within dBpoweramp?

Depending on your player, ideally you would use ReplayGain ID Tags and the player adjusts the volume as it plays.

I am not sure I follow that Spoon. Is this a setting within dBpoweramp?

You would add the DSP effect ReplayGain, but your player has to be compatible, if it is not you can alter the volume in the track with the DSP effect volume normalize.

ReplayGain tags tell your player to adjust volume upon playback. Of course, your player must support it then.
For computer playback, use one that supports ReplayGain (I use foobar2000, but there are many others: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ReplayGain*Implementations )

If you are transcoding to mp3 for portable use, you may want to normalize. The ReplayGain APPLY DSP will alter the signal and change the volume that way. That is a last-resort thing - as long as you can merely write tags, using the ReplayGain DSP, then rather do that.
