Rips Okay, but no music in file

I'm having an odd issue with the CD ripper (latest version). No matter which format I choose to save the files in I end up with a file that has the meta data and the album cover, but that's it. The music is missing. I have two readers (DVD and BluRay) and neither work. I've uninstalled and re-installed the full Dbpoweramp program, tried a different destination, tried FLAC, AIFF, WAV, and ALAC file outputs - and get the same results. The software says it is registered so there shouldn't be a license problem. Each rip includes a positive result on the Accurate Rip check so the system thinks it is doing it.

Any ideas? This used to work just fine. I'm running Windows 7 home premium 64 bit with service pack 1.

Set to rip to wave, rip a 3 minute track (or there abouts), what size is the wave file?

I ripped a 3:11 minute song. Estimated size was 33,041 KB - actual size on my hard disk was 50.2 k.

Try CD Ripper >> Options >> Communication

I made the change, accepted the warning and ripped a song from another disc - but no luck. Song is 3:02 in length and 2.23 KB on the hard drive. I changed from "Secure" to "Burst" mode and that made no difference either. Here's the text from the ripping report (in case this helps)

Cd ripper indicates it is ripping ok and data is passing out. If you have security software it could be blocking or sand boxing dBpoweramp, try disable it (especially if kaspersky)

Totally irrelevant to your issue here, but I wouldn't do that when ripping to lossless. I've elaborated in the http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthre...Best-practices thread and elsewhere.

Really thought you were on the money with the SandBox suggestion. I checked out my anti-virus software (Avast) and found the dBpoweramp music converter program on the Auto-Sandbox ignore list. I then added D:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\CDGrab.exe and when that didn't work I tried disabling the auto-sanbox feature altogether. Re-booted (just in case) and failed. Lastly I also tried running the CD Ripper program as an admin. Same result every time - 50ish Kb file (49kb is the album cover) and no music in the file. Also no errors reported by the software - as far as it is concerned it is writing out the whole file every time.

I guess I should point out that iTunes rips CD's just fine into my iTunes system - so other programs can do it, just not the best one.

It is not only CD Grab, but 'Core Converter' which has to be released.
