Rip Chinese Song issue ( ALFF )

    Dear all ,

I purchased the dBpoweramp software and try to rip a Chinese CD. I found that when I choose rip to FLAC format. Everything is fine which Title and album name are successfully saved as Chinese Characters.

However, when I rip the same CD to AIFF, the title and album are saved as ??.

Any suggestion to resolve the issue.

    Thanks,
    Sam

          Spoon,
I am happy that you are taking a look at this issue. I have been living with this problem since I purchased the software whenever I Rip Chinese or Japanese titles into AIFF format. I have to use another IDtag editor after ripping with dBPoweramp to put in the right metadata. Since that IDtag editing is done manually, it is rather painful. I am looking forward to some good news from you soon.
          Best Regards, Opus
P/S despite this mentioned problem, dBpoweramp remains as m favorite ripping software.

By the way, the software that I am using to add chinese characters based metadata to AIFF files produced by dBpoweramp is Tag&Rename. Works like a charm as it can automatically extract song titles from filenames. I have tried a lot of other software but they mostly do not work for AIFF files.
