Best external CD/DVD drive for ripping

Hi All - am sure this question has been asked before but can someone recommend an upgrade to my current Samsung SE-S204? I have had my Samsung for years but am looking for a replacement. Preferably a drive that doesn't cache and supports C2.

Not answering your question, but: C2 information is often lost over USB (or firewire ... if anyone would buy that anymore).

If you can use eSATA for external, do that.

THanks Porcus for your reply, but I thought that is why you have the "8KB over USB" setting in the prefs?
