    errors...cant open destination folder

I have been ripping my entire collection and have successfully ripped about 1400. I am multi ripping to 2 folders...flac and wav files. Just 2 days ago i began getting errors on just a few tracks sporadically. Not on every disc and when it happened it would error on 2-4 trax. The error message said it couldnt open one of the destination folders. The other was successful. Just today it wont rip any discs at all. I get the same error but on every trac it says it cant open either of the destination folders. Yet no settings have been changed and the folder settings are correct. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

I dont quite understand your response. But I do have an update .... I tried ripping again this evening and successfully ripped about 8 discs. On one of those discs 3 trax failed, unable to open the destination folder. the other day there were two discs that no trax would rip as explained in my initial post. I tried one of them tonite and no trax would rip. Tried twice and same results. Coincidence?

unfortunately i continue to experience sporadic issues which is wired cause i have ripped about 800 or so discs of my collection before this became an issue.

I get errors...mostly that say the destination folder can't be opened. I just ripped about 6 discs successfully. Then, while trying to rip "Boston Baroque, The Four Seasons" Hybrid SACD Telarc Catalog *SACD-60698, it erred on the first 12 trax, then successfully ripped the last 4-5. I made 4 seperate attempts all with the exact same result. Then i tried another disc, a Red Book Sony Classical disc of Joshua Bell, Four Seasons. Every trac erred. Other discs, some will rip, others dont with know obvious reason. This only started when i began to rip my classical discs....not sure if it's a coincidence or not. I can't believe these discs are produced any differently...but, could it be issues with the discs themselves? Really frustrating and unfortunate that i cannot include all of my collection into my digital collection.

I am no tech expert but the way it's behaving sporadic, yet consistent with errors on the same discs & trax on multiple attempts at various times tells me it's an issue with the discs, the rip software or both. ugh.

Perhaps the NAS cannot store filenames of the same length that Windows can (260 characters).

That's an interesting idea. ;^] I'll decrease the file name size on those that erred......Thank you
