track reports accurate but still shows error log?

    Hi All

Im getting through ripping my collection but had a strange one today.

A cd was getting stuck on the last of 22 tracks with the ripping hanging at 99%, so I re-ripped that track on a different machine. The ripping process went smoothly but the encoding process seemed to hang for a while at 99% Eventually the CD ejected and an error log appeared :-

Strange, disc 2 of the same album does exactly the same the ripping freezes at 99%, and dbpoweramp stops responding.

The only way to recover the program is to force a close with control alt delete.

However my other pc copes with these discs fine, so I imagine its something to do with c2 error detection as that is the only setting which differs.

Try ripping to 'Test Conversion' with the c2 option off. Does it hang?

Yes even with c2 off my drive is still spinning like a mad thing and hung at pass 1 ripping 99% on the last track.

It's doing this with all disc's now.

            OK
Cheers to Spoon for pushing me under the bonnet, just noticed a tick in the "read into lead-in or lead-out" box which I must have changed somehow.

Having un ticked this option all is now ok
