Best optical drive for CD ripping? Is my LG 4163B ok? C2 but poor error correction.

I ripped my CD collection to wav files only to find that some rips were noisey. I used WMP and now I'm looking at dbpoweramp because it looks alot more useful. If I use dbpoweramp with my LG4163B optical drive, will I have good success with accurate rips? I want to have a lossless collection as my archive and/or main source for listening at home and also have the ability to have separate MP3's for my portable devices like my cell phone. The LG4163B has C2 but upon reading an older review, it didn't seem to have as good error correction as another optical drive. Is there a better optical drive I should use for ripping to lossless audio files like wav or similar that is available now?

thanks in advance for any info,

I own very similar drives, and they are very good for audio ripping and feature excellent C2 error reporting.

I am just going be an older review:

      Mediocre error correction.

I am trying to use the dvd/cd accuracy list as a guide to chosing a drive but can't find much current available for sale.
