CD won't AR verify

I have a CD (Blackout! by Methodman & Redman) that displays the little blue and red AR logo under the tracks when inserted so it appears it is in the AR database. When I rip it, it rips that does a 2nd pass then comes up as secure but with an X next to AR for each track indicating it is not in the DB.

Why would it show it in the DB first and then show it is not post-rip?

Also, is there a way to manually search the AR database for albums?

It could be in the database, but an alternative pressing which is out of range and cannot be used.

There is no manual access of the database.

I see. That makes sense if it is a different pressing. I didn't think of that. What does out of range mean?

Other pressings can be used if the pressing offset difference is less than 4 cd sectors.
