    ReplayGain settings

    Hi

ReplayGain does allow me to select Track and Album Gain together.
Shouldn't that be either or, like in the RG (Apply) dialog?
Must I uncheck Trakgain to really have Albumgain

    Thanks
    Franz

The player is normally configured to set which one it uses, having both in the tags is normal.

      Thanks.
Since I currently don't have a player that I know that it can use RG and there is not setting ... I'll uncheck the TrackGain to be on the safe side.

but you might have a future player that can use either track or album gain. Why not add both the track and album RG values to your tags at ripping time. They don't hurt or change anything....they are just tag info that can be used (or not) depending on the player.

I think you're right. As long as no player just uses one or the other without giving the option to select one on e to use (if at all), I'm on the save side as well.
          Thanks for the heads-up.

all the players I have that can use RG values in playback ALWAYS give me the option to select which value or to NOT use RG at all. So I'd say you're safe on this issue.
