Every audio cd comes up with errors

I have my registered ref pack that I bought & retrieved installed, but every audio cd I put in to rip goes right down the list of tracks & I get errors saying it was unable to open tracks.

I cannot rip any cds, what is going on???

It is like this program is broken, I feel like I have been ripped off.

On the error page, there is a 'copy to clipboard' button, copy and paste the error messages here please.

Maybe the communication method is set wrong in ripper options (just below read lead-in / lead-out option)

It would not be the communication setting, rather a path is set in CD Ripper which CD Ripper is not allowed to write to, such as a network path.

I am having exactly the same problem . I am unable to rip any tracks. This has only happened in the last 2 weeks.
Please help!

At the end of each track under the error and information logs it says d:Encoder::BeginConversation

I have tried everything....................:-(

Try ripping to the local hard disc, if still no go, try selecting burst ripping mode as a test on the options page.

It works if I rip to my Desktop......................what now?


I have a Netgear Ready Nas Duo V2.
It was working well until 2 weeks ago. I thought my cd drive had packed in so IT sent me a new one which arrived today. Same outcome.

It means your NAS is stopping dBpoweramp from writing to it.

You need to use Windows Explorer, browse to that network share and try to copy a file there, it should ask for user name and password, make sure you click the Rmember check box.

You could try mapping a drive (like M: ) to \\readynas\media then you would just write your files to a subdir off M:\Music.

(you still need to provide a username and password for your networked drive, as explained above. What is probably happening to you is that the NAS is set to allow everyone (even non-logged-in users) to read from the NASdrive, which is why you can see it and the directories it contains) but when you try to write to it it is denied because you are not logged in on your NAS as a valid user who has write access.


mapping a drive in cmd.exe shell (syntax below valid for a Windows-type share)

   NET use m: \\READYNAS\Media * /user:<NASusername> /persistent:yes

Note: instead of * you can put your NAS password for the specified user (if you leave it as * it will ask you for the password)
(depending on your windows version, the /persistent:yes may or may not be a valid option)
