    Aiff Encoder issue since upgrade.

I currently have dbpoweramp set up using the multi encoder sending two rips to two separate drives, one is Aiff the other Flac. Since installing 14.3, the Aiff rip is splitting the albums, with some tracks showing unassigned, and missing some tag data, the Flac rip is fine. I experimented doing a single rip using Aiff only, the same issue occurred, none of my settings have been changed, and prior to 14.3 my Multi encoder profile worked perfectly.

If you re-rip does the metadata correct for the metadata missing tracks?

Not when using Aiff, the second test rip I tried using the single encoder was splitting the album, but not as many songs were unassigned. Flac in multi and single mode is accurate.

PS: I always check the tags prior to selecting rip, all data was correct and present, but not added to the rip.

What are you using to look at the AIFF files?

I have just completed a test rip of (El Camino, by The Black keys), using Aiff single encoder to my playback hard drive. Once Ripped I first used J.River to see the album, the last two tracks have been separated due to missing metadata. I then shut down J.River and went directly into the file, although the tracks are located in the correct Artist and Album folder, when I hover over them, or select Edit the data on the last two tracks is missing. I did another test rip, without checking in J.River, just directly and the data was correct. This would suggest J.River is amending or changing the tags. I will post on their forum, thanks for your help.

Are you ripping to a local or network drive?

Ripping to an external hard drive attached directly to my iMac.

Try ripping to the local HDD, then move the files to the external HDD.

I'll give it a go tomorrow, I'll post the results when done.

I ripped El Camino again to my music folder on my local drive, all tags were present. I then copied it to my External Playback drive, all tags were correct. When I imported the Playback file into J.River, the Last two tracks were unassigned, missing tags. I deleted the file from J.River and imported the file from my local drive, same issue. However the tags were not altered in the original file from either copy, which is a change. However J'River is still not reading the last two tracks correctly.

Could be a bug in J River, they might be keen to look at those files, to find out what is going on.

If you have iTunes try the file in iTunes which is the standard for reading aiff, if not send us one file please (email link on about above).

Just ripped (Wretch 32), using Aiff single encoder, opened perfectly in iTunes, all tracks present, I closed iTunes and opened in J'River, same issue about 5 tracks split and missing several tags. Ripped again using Flac all OK. I haven't had a response yet to my post on the J.River forum, I'll try again later.
