How to confirm if 20bit processed CD has been successfully ripped

    Hi there,
Switched on your HDCD function, and ripped a couple of 20bit processed CDs.
How would I be able to confirm if it has indeed successfully ripped to 20bit rate ?
The digital streamer system I'm using is showing only 16.

    Thanks.

The files would show as 24 bit, which audio format are you ripping to?

Hi, am ripping to FLAC. Afraid I do not see 24 bit.

Hold the mouse over a flac file, the popup information will show how many bits are contained in the audio.

Then the CDs you are rippping are not HDCD?

Do they have a HDCD logo?

The CDs are 20Bit processed (as claimed on the cover). They are not HDCD though.

It is just a marketing scam, it means they used equipment which was 20 bits when finalizing the audio, what is written to the CD is 16 bits.

(if they use an audio editor which processes in 64 bits float, they might advertise 64 bit processed, but then you would know it was a scam)
