Ripping With Cd Ripper

I have a computer with a quad 4 processor, I run windows 7. It use to rip 4 tracks at a time. Then it stopped and only rips one track at a time. Can anybody tell me what may be up?

If encoding to a lossless format, then the CD drive is way slower than the CPU, so the multi-cores are not needed...

Thank You. I just wasn't sure
