    : --> ; Bug in CD Ripper

    I noticed that when I review metadata and there is a colon in the name of an album or song, Ripper insists on turning it into a semicolon. Is there a way around this, a bug or a necessary technicality that is over my head?

    For example....

    "Speech: John Lennon" becomes...
    "Speech; John Lennon" when ripped.

    The same happened in an album name. Thanks!

    I tried ripping a track and cannot reproduce what you're describing.

    Are you talking about the file tags or the actual file name. I trust you're aware that file names cannot contain a colon (":"), so dBpoweramp replaces that character with a semicolon (";").
