    pulling hair out ripping audiobooks...

I have spent about an hour trying to figure thi out and I am going nuts, so please help.

What Ia m trying to do seems like it would be simple. I want to rip a audiobook that is 10 discs and I am ripping them "as-1". I want each ripped file to be consecutive, so it would read something like 01 for disc 1, 02 for disc 2, 03 for disk 3 etc. Artist name and other information is nice, but not necessary. I just don't want to have to rename every file since when I am ripping "as 1" it seems to name every disc the same thing.

Have you tried adding the disc number to the naming scheme?

thanks for the reply. Yes, I tried that, but it doesn't seem to recognize that when I put in CD 2, that it is CD2; it still names the disc 1. It will say cd2 of 10 in the track title, but that does me no good.

You are aware you can (and often must) correct the metadata before hitting the Rip button? Disc number appears top-middle.

I did not. I guess I figured if the program can rad that it is disc 2, then it would label it as such. Thanks for the help.

Never trust metadata providers. They are at best human, and at worst doing automatic feed without sanity checks.

Use metadata providers, though. Just don't count on the information being correct.
