I have several concept albums (the Wall, Mindcrime, sgt. Pepper) that I will be ripping into flac. I've read some people talk about single flac files. Ideally, I'd like to not change what I'm doing. As you can probably tell, I'm not very tech savvy and Id like to keep in simple...if it can be. What will happen with those using the "normal" ripping method I started today...and am getting the hang of!!!

Gapless CDs are ripped as Gapless (when using FLAC) by CD Ripper. -

No problem with lossless formats. And one-file-per-track is by far the most common mode of ripping and storage.
Do not use VLC though. It is excellent for movies, but surprisingly it still screws up gapless playback. (Then on the other hand, you would use a player with proper library function. I use foobar2000.)Comment
