So I read some magazine that bitrates below 786, or what it was is considered lossy. I have ripped new cds to FLAC and some tracks are at bitrates 200-500. How come, something wrong or is it just because the audio do not require 'more'?
Lossy = bitrate below 768

Re: Lossy = bitrate below 768
Bitrate means nothing for lossless codecs such as FLAC, as the current version of FLAC has never once failed to uncompress audio to give exactly the same as the source.
Or put another way, if you FLAC compressed 1 hour of pure silence, the bit rate would be tiny, but it is still lossless.
