Bit Length and Sampling Rate

I'm new to CD Ripper and am setting up the options on the CD Ripper site before ripping my CD collection. Is there any benefit, sonically or otherwise, to increasing the bit length from 16 bits to 24 bits and the sampling rate from 44.1kHz to ,say, 96kHz or 192kHz?
