    Message: No disk in the drive.

    Am using CD Ripper for the third time. When ripping (FLAC & MP3) to an external drive the rip process halts and waits for a response to the following message from CoreConverter.exe: There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk3\DR3. Response options are Cancel, Try Again and Continue.

    The rips occurs successfully. No matter which response I select, the rip continues. I get a message for each song before it is ripped. This did not occur the first two times a CD was ripped. But now the problem occurs all the time. The rip eventually completes successfully.

    The problem repeated itself when using the C: drive instead of the external drive: 1st CD rip took place without the error message. Subsequent CD rips had the message issued for every rip.

    I have two CD/DVD drives. I tried using each one. The problem still occurs. Don't know if this has anything to do with the problem but thought I'd give it a try. Problem still occurs.

    System in use is Vista, with the latest updates applied.

    Try ripping to your C:\ Music folder

      I tried that but unfortunately that did not solve the problem. Further research produced the answer. I had to go into administrative functions disk management and disable a disk, which is actually one card reader slot on a multi-card reader unit. Fortunately I don't have a need for that slot.
