    3 Nimbies: Only 2 Load/Unload

I've got 3 Nimbies hooked up. All three have been configured for Nimbie load/unload. Only *1 and *2 would load and unload. Then I restarted my system, and now only *1 and *3 will load and unload. Any tips, ideas, or known solutions?

-Edit- This is using Batch Ripper. Yes, they show up fine in "My Computer" and "Device Manager" and if I manually load them they can read the disc just dandy.

Also, if I manually load the drive after the Batch Ripper is running, it won't change from "Loading CD" even if I open up CD Ripper and refresh the drive. It will show all the correct data, but Batch Ripper still says "Loading CD"
    How odd...

By powering them off and on, switching around USB cables, and hand loading one of them (*2, if anyone cares) they're all loading and unloading now. I'll see if this continues after this batch of 1 disc each by running a second batch of 1 each...

Nope. Now *2 didn't load but gave a No CD After Load and *1 is stuck on Loading CD. *3 is runnin fine. Very weird.

Possibly there is a limit in their drivers to 2 per system

(I've only talked to one representative of theirs about this, but) they claim 4 should not be a problem... I"ll call them again and post my findings.

              Re: 3 Nimbies: Only 2 Load/Unload

Salesperson said someone would email me. Here's what they sent:
              Hi XXXXX,
              Which software are you running?
With QQBoxx Pro 3 [Shipped with unit] software, up to 4 units would be possible with a high end PC.
The load and unload buttons are reserved for future features, the buttons are currently non-functional.
              Sincerely,
              XXXXX

So, I installed it to test this (and to make sure it wasn't some weird hardware issue).
I can run their "Disc to Image" and set each Nimbie for the same (or different) tasks, and they run fine.

So I'm curious if it's a problem in the way the drive is called in the load/unload script

Any ideas? I'm willing to send logs, device info, etc. Whatever is needed...

                  Re: 3 Nimbies: Only 2 Load/Unload

There is nothing in our code to limit to 2 nimbies...

Try in the configuration section where you click load for one nimbie, leave at that then load for 2nd nimbie, and then load test for 3rd nimbie, see what the debug log says.

                    Re: 3 Nimbies: Only 2 Load/Unload

In the debug log, it just sits there after the "Running..." and then stops responding...
The Nimbie itself doesn't exhibit any indication that it is receiving a command to do something (Ready light is on and steady, no motor movements)

                      Re: 3 Nimbies: Only 2 Load/Unload

Funny thing, though. When I terminated the unresponsive program, it actually ejected the drive tray on the proper Nimbie immediately afterward.

Don't know if this helps, but I uploaded it anyway. Port and hub listings for all 3

Any other tests I can try or information I can provide to figure this out, I'm totally game.

I do not know how to investigate this further.

(I have no idea how to do this myself, but I'll suggest it in case it would work)
What if I sent the program that functions fine, and then you could run a monitor on the controller instructions being output by the program and see if they match what is in the Nimbie Loader function in the drive setup?
That way you could get a side by side of what is actually being sent to the machine during the process of the one that works vs the one that doesn't (or help me to do it and I'll send you logs or screencaps or whatever). If the case is that a command is not being sent at all, that would be good to know, or if it hangs prior to sending, that would be good, too.

It's got to be something in the program or scripting, because one works fine, every time, and one doesn't, every time (unless you do weird loading tricks, and then it SOMETIMES works, though rarely).

Realistically we would require 3 nimbies to test this, as the issue could be anywhere.
