    Using External Drives

    Hello , I'm currentely evaluating the dBpoweramp software.

    Very impressed so far! I have two questions;

    1) How best to to rip a cd to an external drive(sata) while retaining all metadata info initially collated. My current efforts rip the CD but not the metadata.

    2) I am planning, currentely to use dB in conjunction with WMC 7. I have also considered/considering J River MC. Any guidance on which is best/easiest to organise the information to cover specifically video and music would be greatly appreciated.

    I am happy to provide any system/further details as required.

    I would also stress I am very much a newbee to this area and all information/guidance would be greatly appreaciated

    Many thanks

    Re: Using External Drives

    It should make not difference to ripping if internal or external, you get metadata when using the internal drive?

    The player should automatically orgainse based on ID tags.

      Thanks Spoon, I shall continue to trial the software. Is there a (simple/straight forward) guide you could recommend to optimise use/setup options and providing guidance on the software up please.

      Thanks for your help.
