    Recognizing a drive for AccurateRip

I've been using dbpoweramp very successfully for several years on a PC and want to use it on my new Macbook. I am running Windows 7 with Parallels Desktop and have set up dbpoweramp on my computer but when I tried to validate AccurateRip with a popular cd the system told me that the drive is not recognised in AccurateRip. I have gone to the AccurateRip site to check out the drive and see that there are a lot of similar ones listed there (under LG Electronics) but mine is not there. It is HL-DT-ST-DVDRW GS3IN, which should be LG Electronics DVDRW GS3IN in the list.

Can you help me? Will it be added shortly? My Macbook is very new.

I was able to rip the "test" disk, but it took a lot longer than it would have done with AccurateRip.

    Best regards,

    Bantati

Keep feeding discs to dBpoweramp and your drive will self configure.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do I use the validation process in the settings, or just keep ripping cds in the normal way?

Each time you insert a CD into dBpoweramp, it should offer to configure accuraterip for the drive, no need to rip, just insert the discs.
