    flac tag data

I have experienced a strange problem recently. When ripping as flac, cd ripper did not write any tag data. However, if I rip it as apple lossless or mp3, cd ripper did write the tag data. Can anyone help please?

    Re: flac tag data

You have not changed any of the advanced options, such as to write ID3v2 tags to flac files?

      Re: flac tag data

Under Advanced Option->Flac ID Tagging, I have Tag Creation as Vorbis Comments, ID3v2 Version as v2.3. Flac IDTag Padding as 4KB. I have changed around the settings. It still did not write any tag data. Any correct configuration should be used?

        Vorbis Comments are correct.

Make sure also there are no DSP Effects running in CD Ripper.

and after ripping let dBpoweramp look at the ID Tags, right click on one file >> Edit ID Tags

          Re: flac tag data

I have tried it. dbpoweramp sees no data in ID Tag. I have also uninstalled dbpoweramb and use dbpoweamp-reset.exe to completely remove dbpoweramp. It is still the same behaviour after reinstall. It is very frustrating. Now I am using EAC to rip to flac and EAC has no problems of writing tag data to flac. However, I prefer to use dbpoweramp as the metadata is much more powerful.

What security software are you using?

                  Re: flac tag data

Hi, i have tried the trial (R14.2) for 3 days now and i would love to purchase and use it for my ripping, but i have the same problem with flac-tagging as user ADYC.
The flac audio ripping itself is perfect, only tagging failed and only with flac format.
                  Is there already a solution?

                  What i tried:
Multi-Encoder with flac & AppleLossless. AppleLossless files are all with the tags i wanted (custom edited).
The flac files have no tags. Explorer >edit idtags > no tags founded, all empty. Same with Songbird & VLC, no tags.
Then i tried AIFF too. All tags there. MP3 same.

                  My Setup:
dbpoweramp running via WIN7/parallels on Mac OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard)
Tag Creation: Vorbis Comments, ID3v2 Version as v2.3, IDTag Padding as 4KB
                  No DSP Effects
                  PerfectMeta Intelligent Lookup is enabled
No security software, there is in parallels only Win7 with only dbpoweramp Apps running

Would be great, if someone can help.
                  Thank you.
