CD Ripper not using four cores

    Hi

Just a query for interest's sake really. When using Batch Converter (e.g. FLAC to MP3) it uses all four of my CPU processors, but in CD Ripper it only ever uses two . Anyone know why that is? Is there any way to use all four in ripping to make it quicker?

    Thanks

    Rob

The CPU is waiting for the CD drive which is many times slower, even if encoding to mp3. One CPU core can encode to mp3 at around 25x speed, which is the speed of a CD drive.
