dbpoweramp cache does not seem to work

I needed to re rip a couple of albums, & when I reinserted the discs, the metadata/info I had typed in the meta section in the flac encoder was not there, I had to retype the info again.

when I tried this on a a different computer, the dbpoweramp cache works on it, but not on my computer. I am currently running dbpower amp under virtulization software, paralells desktop on a mac.

would this have any affect on the cache?

I would like the cache to work, so if or when i find I might have to re re rip a cd, dbpoweramp will remember it, so I dont have to type in anything again.

An obvious question, it is checked under the meta drop menu?

If you put a disc in, then remove, then put back in the info tip should say it is from dBpoweramp Cache, is it?

yes dbpoweramp cache is checked off in the menu,

yes it does say from the cache, but the actual info I see is not the same info I typed, but the info from online sources, it starts over again, as though the disc has never been inserted before.
