How to upgrade LAME MP3 codec in CD Ripper to LAME v3.99

I just purchased dBpoweramp Reference 14.2. I am very impressed.

The harddrive in my (new) car only accepts music ripped from CD to MP3. I have been unable to find out which LAME version is included in dBpoweramp Reference v14.2.

Is it possible to update the codec to LAME v3.99 from http://lame.sourceforge.net/download.php ?

Please advise.
