Apple releases ALAC as open source - will it be incorporated in dBpoweramp?

    Hi Spoon,

Now that Apple has released the ALAC encoder as open source will you be incorporating this into dBpa instead of the reverse engineered version you currently have?

    Many thanks.

Thanks Spoon. Any idea of time frame for implementation/release?

      Thanks!

I just coverted my library to ALAC using the current dbpoweramp codec. In your opinion, would it be worthwhile to redo the conversion after the codec is updated with Apple's open source to ensure forward compatibility with itunes?

Thanks Spoon. I had a look at the ALAC source code. It's surprisingly short and sweet. Have you had a chance to compare your code to Apple's?
