Hi,
Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. We run multiple drives for multiple computers ripping CDs. We use primarily Plextor PX-L890UE drives and occasionally the PX-230A drives. 3 drives to a computer, so 3 CDS at a time. We run Intel Core i5 cpus with 3GB Ram.
The problem I'm having is that the CD ripper program becomes unresponsive and if we don't close out the program, it may close itself out. This is pretty frustrating as part of our business relies on the program functioning correctly. We have updated to new CD drives (PX-L890E) and are running the latest version of CD ripper. We have re-installed not only the entire dBpoweramp suite (we use the Music Converter as well), but also the CD Ripper program alone. we have 6 computers, 20 cd drives, and have ripped over 50,000 CDs.
This occurs often enough to be pretty damn frustrating. Is the program just not stable enough for an operation of this scale? I've resorted to telling our employees to whisper sweet nothings into the CD drives and to be gentle with CD ripper because it is a fickle, fickle beast.
But honestly, I've been avoiding calling tech support (if that exists, I haven't looked yet), because that isn't fun. Any advice?
