    Tagging Question When Ripping

I'm ripping a wide variety of CDs. I want only the same tag fields filled in each time, but every time I change CDs a ton of fields I never use get filled in, and before each rip I have to manually exclude those fields I choose not to use.

This is probably simple and I'm about to feel rather dumb, but is there an easy way to have CD Ripper only fill in those tag fields I want? Am i missing a setting?

For example, I may only want Artist, Track, Album Title, Title, and the Accurate Rip tags yet the meta data look up (I presume) is filling in a lot of other fields.

NM: I am stupid - I found the right settings area.

No...you're not stupid. You're just new to the program and many of these things aren't necessarily intuitive. Most of us had to wade through that trial-and-error phase.

Hang in there! You'll be a pro in no time! :D

You CAN restrict the tagged info by going into the Options tab then select Options to the right of metadata. Then scroll down till you see the "Write ID tags" line, and uncheck anything you dont need.

Did you read the whole post before adding to the thread? He figured out how to do it....the problem's long since resolved.
