    difficulties with Conductor and Performer

    Hallo,

the dbpoweramp is making troubles by using classics with the Conductor.

First a short look to very well working hardware:
    1. The Ripping PC with the dbpoweramp R14 is for ripping to FLAC files in companion with the J.River
Media Center 15 for using and controlling the audio files and TAGs.
    2. For storage there is a NAS.
    3. A laptop with its own J.River Media Center (without dbpoweramp) is receiving the files from the NAS
and serving and controlling the high end audio equipment.

    The trouble is:

In the Vorbis Comment Block the dbpoweramp R14 is using the Performer instead of the Conductor !
The following programs (like J.River Media Center 15) are looking for the Conductor field and can't
    read the Performer.

On the other side, if you are using the tag Conductor Sort of the dbpoweramp in the Vorbis Comment Block
    is the correct ConductorSort written.
This may be the way out: dbpoweramp should create a own tag for the Conductor in the Vorbis Comment
    Block.

May be some one knows a better working way?

We are looking and waiting for a little help.

    Thank you very much

Re: difficulties with Conductor and Performer

dBpoweramp Configuration >> Codecs >> Advanced

you can disable this mapping. Please also write to J River asking them to follow the Vorbis Tagging Specification:

    PERFORMER
The artist(s) who performed the work. In classical music this would be the conductor, orchestra, soloists. In an audio book it would be the actor who did the reading. In popular music this is typically the same as the ARTIST and is omitted.
