    Slow ripping

I have ripped over 1700 disks with dbpoweramp using 7 drives and a quadcore computer. Doing 7 at the same time has had no issues. But recently Dbpoweramp is really slow. It always pauses during the encoding to flac. It know it is using different cores because when it pauses I can see in the different instances the different cpu cores. IN the past it would just fly through the encoding.

Ripping is also slow and it just seems to pause waiting for who knows what.

Any ideas or anything I can check?

    Re: Slow ripping

Looks like I figured it all out. One of the drives was running at .1x and when I wasnt using that drive, speed shot up. I replaced it with another drive and things seem to be fast like before.

This drive is the latest one I bought and is only a few months old. I guess it was just a lemon, but I would expect more than a month or 2 out of a drive.
