Rip DTS Audio to stereo FLAC

How can I rip my DTS audio CDs to FLAC so they play in stereo, not in DTS format? My players dont support DTS.

OK, why was my post deleted and my account banned right after answering OPs question? I checked the forum rules and saw nothing about recommending some other software which will do what he asked, and will NOT even rip regular CDs.

If there was something wrong with my post, I would expect the courtesy of a normal moderation, not immediate banning within 1 minute with no reason given. It literally says no reason":

Every day we get say 10 posts where it is just spammers, first post and links to other programs (or handbags, viagra, etc). If you had a track record of posting on these forums then your link would not have been removed, however first post which is a link to offsite software will be removed.

As to lsilva's question, my original answer to him (which was removed) was incorrect anyway because I misunderstood the question. I thought he meant a regular DVD.

With a DTS-CD, it's just a 6 channel DTS soundtrack encoded into a 16 bit wav. So you can rip it with dbpoweramp to wav or flac using same a source. But the resulting file will sound like static. VLC can play it if it's a wav on the PC though, because it can decode DTS.

If you use Asset UPnP, you can stream the wav or flac to your receiver (do not transcode) or whatever DLNA type device you have. Metadata and album art will work if you use flac. If the reciever or your disc player can decode DTS, it will play the wav in all 6 channels. I tested this with Asset streaming to an Oppo-BDP93 which bitstreams to an Onkyo TX-NR808. The Oppo is unwrapping the flac and sending the bits to the Onkyo, which is doing the actual DTS decoding.

But if you want to convert it to a regular wav, you need a program called Tranzcode 0.40. Google it, I'm not posting another link. :blush: The gui will get you a stereo wav. But if you want multichannel, the gui doesn't seem to work well. You have to use the command line interface and you will get 6 mono wavs that you can then mux together using a program like WaveWizard.
