I'm trying to determine the true size of my drive read cache so i can set it properly in dbpoweramp cd ripper. I've tested with the dbpoweramp tool, Cachex, and Fuerio -- all three tell me that my cache size for audio data is zero.
Am I safe in trusting this as accurate and setting my drive read cache to none in CD ripper? Or would it be safer to just add a value (and what should I add)? Are there negative implications if I were to add a value if indeed the drive does not cache?
How rare is it to come across a drive that doesn't cache audio data? (this is the only one of 4 that i tested that doesnt cache, but it is my primary drive!)
thanks very much in advance for the advice.
