    a few questions

    (thanks for any help)

    1. Is there a way for me to edit the long list of genres that are built into the ripper. I have only 8 that i want to use, a few unique to me.

    2. I use the Burst mode. I think I understand that if I use the Secure mode, it'll try Burst first, and if Accurate, will be done. If I want to keep my rips as stress free as possible, but also pretty accurate, are there agreed upon settings for secure mode that give a reasonable chance (without thrashing about for 15 minutes) of a decent sounding rip from a Library CD (max number of re-reads, when to abort, and instead of aborting, would you check "interpolate unrecoverable frames"). Is there a min number of unrecoverable frames before you'd have a very audible glitch?

    Thanks!!!

    Re: a few questions

    %appdata%\dbpoweramp\genres.txt

    2. You cannot 2nd guess what the CD drive is able to recover from, it might be 1 frame, it might be 100.

Okay.Thanks. Would you use "interpolate unrecoverable frames" with not aborting an insecure rip for a reasonably listenable defective disc?

I would not personally, as most CD drives self interpolate so is not required.
