    Burst mode and AccurateRip?

If a cd is in the A.R. database, and I rip in burst mode, and get a message that its accurate - is it?

In other words, is burst mode safe with A.R.??

I understand that if I don't get the message at the end, I would need to re-rip with secure mode.

    thnx,

In dbpoweramp you would always use burst mode, which it's self will do a burst rip and verify

I don't know if Spoon answers the question but I would like to know the answer. Maybe a different way of asking is this; ripping in secure mode can take a long time so is a burst rip secure if the entry against the track after ripping says it is accurate. Is Spoon saying you do not need to do a secure rip if it is an A.R. database cd?

        Yes...

but if you want a secure rip, use the secure rip function. The secure ripper first does a burst mode rip. If the burst rip matches AR, then its done, if not, it goes into secure mode

go down to Functional Ripping Methods
