One of the providers might be temporarily down.

If you can isolate which of the providers it is, also R14.2 is in beta which improves Musicbrainz support (since their switch over to NGS).

yeah, i have de-selected two of the providers - i am now only using AMG and FREEDB and the metadata is as fast as normal again!!

i have noticed that FREEDB is more accurate anyway...

          :D

Yes, I have noticed this also. I am not on a beta release at all. I posted this on another dbpoweramp forum. Painfully slow !!

The beta release might fix your problem, try R14.2 for me all 4 providers are very fast.

The slow behavior continues for me using the beta. I have a fast internet connection.

Some people have identified Musicbrainz as being slow for them, try unchecking that option.

                    Re: meta data VERY slow

I unchecked Musicbrainz and the process improved dramatically until this weekend.

Now it is much slower than before. It takes 2 minutes or more each time.

I unchecked All Media Guide and speed is back to normal.

Soon I will not have any metadata providers left.

AMG might be having temporary difficulties
