rip cd to mp3 for Roland Sonic Cell

I've tried multiple programs to convert a cd to a series of mp3 or wav files that can be played on my Roland Sonic Cell. So far every attempt has said the sampling rate is bad even though I have manually set it correctly. I'm told the problem may be in metadata. Can you give me step by step instructions to do this? do I need a special codec?

Try with ripping with the DSP Effect 'ID Tag Processing', set to delete all metadata.

sorry, didn't work. I'll keep trying but if you have another idea let me know. I can attach an mp3 that does work to an email if that would help.

For the mp3 Lame settings page, choose advanced and enable the ISO compatibility mode. Also choose a CBR bit rate.
