My internal cd-drive (TSSTcorp - CDDVDW TS-L633B) is pretty old and squeeky... it stopped accepting dvd discs over a year ago. Additionally, it will only read cds if I hold my laptop sideways, in upright position (that gravity sure is a beaTch.)
When I burn cds, the tracks become gradually noisier, with the first track being flawless, and the last couple of tracks downright unrecognisable...
Is there any way I can fix it? Or is it time to face the fact that my drive is worn out/has got aids?
I do have an external drive in excellent condition, so it won't be the end of the world, but still... it's never pleasant to say goodbye to and old friend. :komisch9:
