    Error reading metadata

I tried ripping several cds and kept getting the same result. Rebooted and also tried a cd that ripped succesfully yesterday - today it gets this error.

I'm new to this, I hope it's a simple fix...

    Here's the report:

    Re: Error reading metadata

It is likely the Diskstation which is stopping the file read (once the file is written, it has to be opened at the end to write the metadata).

Try ripping to your local computer (Music Folder) as a test, it should rip without error.

Thanks, ripping to local works and is faster than when I was ripping to the DiskStation. I think the ripping to DS problem could be related to Squeezebox server - if I work it out I'll post again but for now I have a workable fix - thanks again!
