I would like to know how and when 8KB Transfers is really needed ?

For all external drive with an USB connection or not ?

Only if the drive does not detect c2 over usb (when it is advertised as having c2), or the ripping gives very bad results with c2 pointers enabled (when switching c2 off and the rip goes without error).

Hello- to enable the 8kb transfers, do I check both the "use c2 pointers" box as well as the "8kb transfers" box? Or just the 8kb box? I'm a bit confused because of the way it is formatted on the screen, with the 8kb box indented, so I wasn't sure if i needed one or both. thanks!
