Some CD's RIP but playback very distorted

I have found a number of CD's, for example some of the latest Madonna albums and also the Enemy album that won't rip in Secure mode to FLAC format properly. I therefore have had no choice but to rip them in burst mode and then found that all the tracks playback very distorted.

Is this some form of copyright security on these CD's causing this or can I get over this with any setting changes?

Whilst I use a PC to store and rip all my music strangely enough all of the CD's I have encountered problems with will RIP to an MP3 through itunes and will also RIP to an Apple Lossless through itunes both on a MAC without any problems.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Normally you would need a different drive if the disc has security measures, or the drive has problems reading the disc.
