    CDgrab runtime error

I've been trying to rip a CD that has only one track. The rip goes into ultrasecure, and I get run time error when it starts the third ultra pass. Memory shows 71% total usage in the task manager. Is it memory limitation causing this?

If your system is out of memory then that would cause it to crash.

From monitoring system memory, it seems to stop here no matter how much memory I have left. In this case I have about 700MB free when it stopped only use 67%. How do I determine what kind of memory is necessary?

Many ultra passes are not recommended when ripping the whole disc a one track, each pass needs over 600MB, you can easily get over the 4GB limit for the program as a whole.

I don't know, if I have 700MB left, I should be able to run one more pass, unless CDGrab runs into error because the memory is fragmented. Is this the case? The memory value that you see is the end of two ultra passes.

How about some error handling? Users get very nervous when apps start crashing.

When Windows reaches the memory limit, then it stops issuing handles (GDI etc) with unpredictable results, it is not a simple memory issue then.

The last time I tried, total memory used in the system was only 58%. CDGrab always crashes at less than 1G memory. I do not believe Windows has reached any limit. At least there is no indication of such.

I let the previous error message sit for some time, then when I closed the dialog box, this one popped up.
