Asian character meta

I'm having trouble displaying Asian character meta, is there any way to do it?

If the data is not stored in the database as unicode (freedb) or asian (other dbs) there is nothing you can do.

It shows up correctly in rips from iTunes, is there anything different the way they handle meta.

They use a different database (Gracenote).
