    e-SATA or USB connected drives

Does dbPowerAmp work successfully with an e-SATA or USB connected optical drive in an external box?

E.g. I want to rip a lot of CDs but don't wish to use my laptops internal drive. If I mounted a known optical drive (e.g. a Sony or Plextor etc) in a USB or e-SATA external case (is there a preference?) will the drive rip and function properly with dbPowerAmp?

Yes, but sometimes the USB bridge can stop c2 pointers from working

Does using e-SATA avoid this issue?
