non ripping rips

I am a complete novice! I have looked at and am mystified by all this - if only I had some inkling of understanding.

I have a QNAP TS-210 Turbo NAS installed by a boffin and linked to my computer. He demonstrated how to rip the CD's via dBpoweramp and left me to it. Since then, some months ago, I have been wholly unsuccessful in ripping any CD's. I have a large collection that I am desperate to put onto the storage device to access on hi fi throughout the house and so am now trying in earnest.

When I put a CD into the computer all the information appears on the dBpoweramp ripper but when I press the rip button it reads the CD and delivers error messages for all tracks repeatedly.

Any practical help would be gratefully received.

The computer does not have write access to the nas, try manually coping an audio track from pc to nas

Windows Explorer, copy and paste a file.

Apologies, I do not understand. Do you mean Windows Internet Explorer? What file should be copied and where to?

Windows Explorer, I think in this instance it might be wise to get help from a 3rd party who can visit. The PC has either forgotten the NAS password, or the NAS has changed somehow, either way it is blocking the PC from writing to it.
