Error opening file, check no other program has it open

I use dBpoweramp CD Ripper R14 on a Windows 7 64 bit PC. When using the evaluation version, everything worked fine. Since I purchased a "Power Pack & mp3 License", I always get the following error messages on some tracks after the ripping of my CD to mp3 ended:

"Error opening file, check no other program has it open. [dDecoder::WriteTags]".

No matter which CD I rip, there are always a few tracks which have the error, even with CDs that ripped fine with the evaluation version.

The resulting mp3 files look and sound fine. If this is just some error with no consequences on the quality of the audio file or the tags, then I don't really care very much. Can anyone confirm this?

I suspect that this issue is due to one of the features in the dBpoweramp reference license not being available anymore (e.g. the Multi-CPU Simultaneous Encoding).

    Thanks and best regards.

Something does have the file open, virus checker or audio player.

I also get the same problem after doing the same upgrade.

Does the error mean I need to re-rip the tracks or as 'accurate rip' says they are checked is all ok?

Is this a - I tried to open the file and failed so retried with success so all all ok - type error?

If you retried and the error did not repeat, then it is ok.

I checked the server and there were no other users or processes accessing the file so was odd. I did re-rip the individual file and it was ok but re-ripping the entire album again tended to throw up more of the same errors.

As usual re-boot and the problem goes away.

It is a little odd as the directory is new and the files are newly ripped so it is only CD Ripper that is accessing them.

Saying that I do have shadow copies set up so it could be the OS taking a copy (but then again I expect you open the file RW and keep it open until you've finished with it) or are you re-opening and adding stuff in at the end of the ripping process?

After ripping the file is opened and tagged.
